Claiming Property
How do I find out if I have unclaimed property?
The easiest way is to search our online database. It will provide you with the most up-to-date properties available for claim as soon as reports are received and reconciled.
Why do I have to provide a copy of my identification and social security number with my claim?
Our staff is very aware of concerns about the safeguarding of personal information. However, in order for us to make sure that the payment is made only to rightful owners, we must have this documentation to verify identity. Please know that all information received in our office is treated as highly confidential.
Where do I mail my claim form?

Can I bring my claim and information to your office in person?
Yes. Our business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are located in Suite 636 of the RSA Union building located at 100 North Union Street in Montgomery, AL 36104.
How long will the claim process take?
We make every effort to process each claim received as quickly as possible. On average, the process usually takes 6 to 8 weeks.
There is property being held for a family member of mine that has died. Can I claim it?
If you have been named by a probate court as the executor or administrator over that person’s estate, you are authorized to file a claim on behalf of the estate. If the deceased owner had no will or estate, the surviving spouse or children of the owner may be able to file a claim. Please contact our office at 888-844-8400 for additional information.
